Sterilizing Your Gear??

I was wondering (since the lab board is slow) who ads Benzyl Alcohol to their gear to ensure its sterile. With gear I order I dont think theres a need to use a whattman as there is nothing floating in the gear, but after my last infection I want to add something everytime to ensure its clean everytime... so does anyone do this? how much would you add to say a 10ml vial??

sorry johnny, i havent done this before, i can read up and use the caulking gun method, filter with a .45 and then a .20 but would i want to add some BA afterwards? my question is that if it was necessary to filter or if i could just add some BA

A .20 filter is catching things smaller than what would be visible, so you don't have to see things floating in it.. So I think the filter would be best as well.... I don't know the answer to the BA, but I wouldn't think the concentration would be high enough to kill off bacteria, or not nearly as effective as a filter...

MY suggestion is get a better source... If you are getting an infection from their gear, thats a good sign that you need to stop buying their stuff. A good source will not put your health in danger, and their gear should be sterile.

its not about my source... i ordered some B D and got an infection from that, I now have multiple UGL's I can order from, but from now on I wanted to filter for piece of mind
