A ?? for anyone with Prednisone experience

I have Ulcerative Colitis and Im back on the Prednisone..currently on my down slope. I have 2 weeks left to go with the Pred. I am wondering if I should wait to start my Cyp/Deca cycle a few weeks or if it would be ok to jump right in? I know they are completely different steroids but not sure how they might react together. Anyone with Prednisone experience please chime in.

    Thanks

Yes, welcome to my world. Wait for your body to recover, prednisone has so many bad side effects. God, did I hate taking that shit, have your doctors do some blood work for you after stopping the meds and about 3 months later. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis for over 5 years ago.

Pred is gonna do serious harm to your immune system, and steroids are gonna hit it as welll..

I am dealing with shingles right now (chicken pox virus) due from Tren/Prop cycle.. i think cough medicine i was taking, and recently having a cold did a number on my immune system..

funny...I took prednisone for years bc I had asthma, never had any sides. Also I had colitis too but never got any steroids for it. Of course it wasn't "ulcerative" colitis.

I am sure you where only taking about 10mg ED, but with Ulcerative Colitis I don't fully recall but it's like 80 or 60 mg ED and they have to wing you off it it by decreasing the dosage by 10mg EW.

Prednisone is a corticosteroid, it has enough sides as it is you dont want to start using AAS. Take care of your health first.

Different illness are given different dosages of prednisone.

Good luck with it, I only needed Pred on the initial diagnosage but have never had to take it again. I have to take Asacol but I no longer have stress in my life so I don't get a flare-ups...
