Truvia is it better than Splenda, Equal, etc.?

Truvia is a brand new natural sweetner (unlike splenda and equal which are artificial sweetners) that is made by Stevia. I have been seeing advertisements here lately and wondered if this would be a good substitute for Splenda? Does anyone know its' impact on blood-sugar levels?

it's supposedly the best way to go. ive heard it is sweeter than sugar so use sparingly. i think i read the impact on blood sugar is low.

There's a new Splenda that has 1g of fibre per packet. Anyone seen these? I like the idea as Splenda is my source of sweetener.

I'm interested inpicking some up. I've tried other stevia products. I like to use it in iced tea, I drink alot of it being a southern boy. But some stevia products are ok some not. I'll do a search for where to get some. As for now I'm sticking to the splenda.

Truvia is made from the stevia plant. Somehow the sweetening power is diluted or something. One pack of Truvia = 2 teaspoons of sugar. I've got some pure stevia and it's a PITA to figure out how much to use. It's wicked sweet.

would the 1g of fiber help to offset this 1g of carb?

Man, now I'm confused. What exactly did you purchase to run your test on?
