How did they pay for that?

I had no idea a bankrupt government could afford that.

Did the fed buy it to?

Huh, I am sure that the presidential caravans have had these for some time.

No interest in turning this into some kind of gold standard/Ron Paul/libertarian thread. We have enough of that.

yeah for real, a gun isn't much compared to a trillion dollars

is it even real? he was "shooting" right into the camera a couple times and they never showed or heard any bullets hitting anything

That video would be a thousand times better if the were really bullets, the second jeep was an empty parked car with a dummy in it, and they shot at it for 30 seconds.

Now THAT would be cool. It would prob be a pile of powdered steel and rubber afterwards.

I don't know much about guns... were not really big on them up here in Canada lol. But my room-mate just told me that the gun in that car is exactly the same as the one mounted on troop transfer helicopters. sounds pretty lethal... haha

yeah i'd guess so. a 50 calibre rifle could put a 3ft hole in the side of a deer, so just imagine a 1000 of them into a building

hahaha. yah I guess hey? Man I was watching this reporter talking about the secret service today in Washington, and how they had like 50+ snipers in the roof tops for Obama's speech. That's absolutely ridiculous. When our prime-minister goes out, he probably only gets a couple of stupid looking mounties, on horse back!!

50 rounds per second. Called Standard M134D. 3000 per minute, can fire continously up to roughly 100,000 shots.

    well 4 things...

    1 - i was only half serious
2 - when they showed the tree, no way 50 bullets a second actually hit it
3 - they were a good distance away
4 - those bullets are far from 50 calibre

a 50 cal would easily go through a wall, and a few thousand of them cut easily cut through a full wall

    Correct, looks to be 7.62.

I am assuming this is an M134D variant of the mini-gun, which is 3000 per minute.
