    Ham??

Quick question about alternative protein sources. Sugardale makes these 1lb thinly slice ham value packs for like sandwhoos and what not 96% fat free..in 1 oz their is 30 calories,1 gram of fat at 1%, saturated fat at 0 grams but at 1%, TRANS fat is on the label but at 0g, Cholestrol at 8mg..3%, Sodium is 350mg 15%, Total carbs is 1g, 1g of sugar, and 4g of protein.

Thought id post and ask because Ive never seen anyone talk about eating ham for people who cant eat seafood....like myself.

Ham is generally higher in sodium for one, but if it fits in your macros, then it works... Ask Phate about how the FDA can say things like 1% trans fat, yet say 0g on the label if you're more interested in that...

i would say it good to mix things up but ... presliced meats/ deli meets = tons of sodium... but great in a quick pinch

to change up you chicken - get some Italian dressing and garlic throw in some chix and let it sit in the fridge for a day or so - cook it up, or cook it on the grill

or just slice the breast in half and rub some seasoning in there - a few garlic cloves smashed up and let it simmer in some whit or red wine...

    change it up

the was meant to show i was kidding.

i don't use ham and other meats like that because frankly i don't like them at all and I don't mind chicken and steak everyday.

i have found some lean pork chops that i trim to hedge-off any added fat. i personally don't see a big problem with them, but ask the butcher to estimate or provide some macro content.

I like to cut my chicken in thin slices and grill it with different seasons.

I think that if you want to throw a small pack of ham into your macros every month or so, you'd wouldn't lose anything over it. It's not the best source of protein but if your diet is beating you up and that helps you keep going, then do what you gotta do.

I remember a while back Nova that you were doing some reading about pork chops or some sort of pork and heard that it may be better for your body than many other meats.... I don't remember really any of the details but do remember what I'm referring to?

I was curious to see what you came up with on that.

Lol, that was a fun thread, if the OP is interested i'll bring it back up, but basically they can round things so that it looks like 0g but is actually closer to .5g/serving which can add up if make it a primary source

Im crazy, but not jewish..nor a daddy lol. A name my mother called me once And i never forgot it ...wierd. Ok anyways, today I documented what I ate. Goal here is to become really cut for the summer.
BF is around id 13-14%, weight roughly 177, height is 5'7"
My job is physically tasking, and its hard for me to justify a diet that will keep me going. This seemed to do well for me, except I was a little hungrier throught the day then usual, but wasnt starving.
I usually do cardio on an empty stomach, then weight train. then cardio only on my days off. Today I changed it up a little.

    woke up around 1:40ish.
2pm: one scoop whey/water. One serving of Dymatize Energy Expand.
35 min cardio(Had no time too much of anything..off day anyhow)

    2:35. Bananna(rushed to grocery store)

3:45pm: two chicken tenderloins/lightly seasoned in chicken rub.
2 cups worth of steamed broccoli
I glass of orange juice. 5 grams of fish oil, 1gram of flaxseed, 5g of Vit C
    1200mg CLA, Vit B complex
    Drive to work

6:30pm.(1st break) Ham sandwho on Whole grain bread,W/1 Tbs myricle whip.
1 cup raw broccoli, and a couple baby carrots...
    1 seedless orange

    10:00 pm(lunch) 2 chicken tenderloins
1 cup worth dried white rice(but was cooked)
1 cup of baby carrots/ more broccolli( pinch_)
    Bananna
    Previous supplements(excluding B complex, and only 3g of fish/Vit C)

    1:00am(last break) Same as 1st break(no orange)

3:35 am(drive home)approx:4 am. one chicken tenderloin/1 cup of rice. Previous supplements(excluding bcomplex) and now I just typed this up.

    Im truely exhausted. Goodnight
