my workout routine - any advice or look good?

    Hi Guys,

Just wondering if i could get some input on my workout, i've had really good results over the years with it. I of course vary my reps and exercise set ups but here's what i pretty much do.

    Monday - Chest

    4 sets of flat bench
    4 sets of flies
    4 sets of incline
    4 sets of decline
    4 sets of incline flies

I'll do a 25 ab crunches between each set. I mix it up, obliques, lower, upper, transverse etc. etc.

    Tuesday - Legs

    4 sets x 5 exercises

I'll do a 25 ab crunches between each set as well as pushups. I'll usually knockout 100 close grip, 100 normal grips and 100 wide grip pushups as well..

    Wednesday - Shoulders

    4 sets x 5 exercises
I'll do a 25 ab crunches between each set.

    Thursday - Back

    4 sets x 5 exercises
I'll do a 25 ab crunches between each set as well as pushups. I'll usually knockout 100 close grip, 100 normal grips and 100 wide grip pushups as well..

    Friday - Tri's

    4 sets x 5 exercises
I'll do a 25 ab crunches between each set.

    Saturday - Bi's

    4 sets x 5 exercises
I'll do a 25 ab crunches between each set as well as pushups. I'll usually knockout 100 close grip, 100 normal grips and 100 wide grip pushups as well..

just curious what you guys think, alot of trainers will tell me abs can be done everyday, some guys disagree, i personally like to do them between every set as well as the pushups on days im not using my chest, shoulders or tris.

Way too many sets for all bodyparts in my opinion. Find it interesting you break down everything for chest in detail and for nothing else.

hey guys thx for the feedback.

I actually didnt type out all my exercises to save some time and reading. I was just using the chest as an example. I do 5 exercises for shoulders, tri's etc. etc. etc.

How many exercises would you stick to 4 exercises with 4 sets?

What about the ab routine? to many abs and pushups as well?

Hey guys been doin some reading up it def seems like i'm overtraining a bit.

im going to start doing 4 exercises with 3 sets.

My questions is how would you tweak this workout.

I always vary my reps to keep it fresh and will throw in different exercises and switch the the order in which i do them.

My question is does this look like a better workout than originally posted and would you continue to do the ab workout between every set?

    Monday - Chest

    Flat Bench
    Incline Flies
    Decline Bench
    Incline Bench

    Tuesday - Legs

    Squats
    Quads
    Hamstrings
    Leg Press

    Wednesday - Shoulders

    Shoulder Press
    Upright Row
    Shrugs
    lat raises

    Thursday - Back

    Seated Row
    Back Machine #1
    Back Machine # 2
    Cable Cross

    Friday - Tri's

    Rope Break Away
    Reverse Cable
    Kick Backs
    Skull Crucher

    Saturday - Bi's

looks good man, just make sure you always use a weight that you can end on good clean failure aruond 6-10 reps and you're good to go.
