    Smooth Away, yay or nay?

Just google it if you need to know what it is. It's on TV informercials as a hair removal kit. It looks super easy. The pad just buffs away hair. What do you guys think? Would it work for maybe say a bodybuilder wanting to be hairless for a show without having to go through waxing or shaving?

I think you may be right. I looked up some reviews, and it appears to be that, not only does it not work, but it has been causing crazy skin irritation as well as even some hospital visits due to skin issues. I guess I'll throw that idea out the window. Should've looked at reviews to begin with.

It does work, I tried it last week. Tried it on my inner calf. It took a while and some elbow grease but it was smooth as a baby's ass. My legs were fairly hairy and they recommend that your hair be pretty short. It kinds burned a little bit. Maybe I pressed too hard? I have just been using the spray on hair remover....works great.

I get it at Wal-Mart. It is called "Spray on hair remover" for coarse hair. Made by Sally Hansen. It is in a blue can. Works pretty damn good if you ask me

i saw this on the tyra banks show, it works but the girl who tested it said it took 1 hour to smooth away the hair in 1 leg and after all that rubbing you sometimes can get irritation

I get the same vibe with this that I got from the crappy blade sharpener I bought thats suppose to keep a razor like new for 25 shaves.
After I used it once it butchered my razor so bad I had little blood nicks all over my face.

Not all "as seen on tv" products are shit, but this one is def stinking like it.

If the Sham-Wow guy used it, I would buy it.

Does the spray on hair removal thing burn for the first couple of times?

these are nothing more then 2000 grit wet sanding paper with lotions, you can accomplish the same thing by going to an automotive store and picking up some.
Always go in circular motions as it folds the hair over on top of itself.
if you go at it hardcore you will be left with raw chaffed skin that even lotion is not going to fix (Will burn to much to put on) i used a similar product like a decade ago and loved it, I did switch over to wet-sanding paper after the initial experiment as I was in autobody repair school and had access.
On a side note you can also use a buffer and foam pad with just a touch of rubbing compound to shine the hell out of your nails! (Warning excess heat build up burns like a byiotch)
