    Anavar after back surgery

I've done 1 cycle of anavar by itself in the past.. about 70mg a day for 5 weeks. I am VERY active and do a lot of cross training. I have played football for years. Now I train Boxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.. I am a purple belt and grappling is my passion.

I recently herniated my L4/L5 badly causing right leg weakness, numbness and pain. I believe it was a combo of years of power lifting for football (mainly power cleans), and training jiu jitsu 4 days a week. It definitely needed to be operated on. I had 3 opinions and all doctors concurred. I had my laminectomy/discectomy 3 weeks ago and I feel very good (knock on wood). I've started PT last week and I am doing well with my core work outs there (planks etc) I am also working with bands for my foot weakness and I'd say my strength is 80% (where as when I was 1st injured the dr pushed my foot down with 2 fingers). I was able to pump out 50 pushups today as well. I'm not going to push my recovery, but once I am cleared for more strenuous activity (another 3 weeks) I was looking to start another cycle for 6 weeks.

Can anyone with some knowledge or similar experiences give input? I'd much appreciate it and would love to be able to get back on the mats eventually and compete to the level I used to compete at... BTW I've lost at least 10-15lbs since I've stopped training

    Thank you

Had C6-C7 fused after a bulging disc that wiped out my right arm. Kaiser Drs told me for three years it was arthritis in spite of symptoms appearing ONE day. After a switch in medical insurance we were required to get a physical. Couple of years of cortisone shots and Surgery was recommened. Was 44 at accident and it had years to lose strength. At 50 i started the road back and i was amazed with the gain in strength over the first year. Keep in mind i only do maintenance and you are a well trained active athlete and those days were in my mirror. But if you follow their advice (my surgeon had done 168 necks the year he did mine) you should be back pdq. 2 yrs after the surgery i began HRT and it is foolish to try and deny the difference in strength and workouts since. Just stay within the injury recovery until you know it's gone.
