Powder you can melt down to see where the product boils. But that is not as easy as it sounds. Not difficult but not easy either. Without scientific measuring devices you can really only be in the ballpark. There are also some visual tells, but that alone means very little buy itself.(test e is gummy, deca is almond, prop looks "light", tren has a pale yellow, etc...)
Once you have in capsule/tablet form its harder to test on a laymans budget. You got to go on the rep of the brand and internet bro science.
Anavar and primo is something I only buy in powder form due to cost savings.

Like Jimmy said its all about the source. If you have a good source that lots of people have used and is known to provide quality products your good. But even then no way to know without testing it yourself.

problem is websites that allow source discussion dont have that many members. feedback from a user with 20 posts doesnt mean much...

You're obviously looking at the wrong sites.

It depends on the quantity you buy, but anavar is an expensive steroid even at 100grams compared to the others. I buy it in 5 or 10g lots and it is pure. I pay less than anyone buying 50mg pills regardless of how many they are buying.

The price break with the place I trust for larger orders would not be that great however, only about 50% per gram.

But you do have to factor in the making your own pills or liquid as a time cost.
