Search the forum and/or google for the Dave Palumbo diet.

You can also search the forum for a thread called 'The Cyclic Ketogenic Diet' started by Top - TONS of info there.

i have a diet. which is 1021 calories , 204 g protein , 14.6 g carbs , 10 g fat. im 5'11 and weigh 180lbs. this is a diet i could certainly stick to but is the calories and fat far to low would you say ?

What are your stats? I just need to know so I can figure out a decent starting caloric intake for you.

Regardless - you, calories are WAY low. You have a diet with all protein and zero energy. This is not a keto diet. This is not an anything diet. You will lose muscle fast on this. You'll force your body to convert dietary protein to energy (not an efficient process) and breakdown lean body mass to also be used as energy (obviously not what you want).

Depending on the flavor keto, some are 40/60 protein/fat. That's a bit higher than I like. You need to research what i've suggested above ASAP. Do NOT run any diet with the numbers you've listed.

One of the main things of the Keto diet is to eat a high number of fat. Eating fat burns fat. Your diet Conner has 10 grams of fat and 14 grams of carbs. Gbrice is correct, where are you going to get your energy from? Your body is just going to start looking for a place to burn energy and it is going to target your muscle mass. 1021 calories is also extremely low. If you eat that little amount of calories your body is also going to go into starvation mode. Which in turn could start storing fat to save for energy. Your body will be starving. I think you should take Gbrice's advice and let him help you. He has helped me and a lot of people tremendously!

it is actually an okay diet its i just think the cals are so low because i decided i would do egg whites rather than whole eggs. iit is just chicken tuna turkey whey protein and eggs eating 6 times per day. maybe if i decide to have eggs rather than egg whites and add a bit more the calories and fat will go up ?

if i have 6 whole eggs rather than 6 egg whites it will move my calories up to 1400, and fat up to 40g would that be enough.

You're missing the whole point. I can't say it any other way. Re-read what I posted above. If you've already decided it's an 'okay diet', why bother posting here?

Sorry, don't mean to sound like a d!ck, but you seem to have your mind made up already. Adding whole eggs is a great start; now read up on keto diets and adjust further.

i read the dave palumbu diet and its pretty similar to the one i have. i just made a few adjustments like egg whites rather than whole eggs etc.

Chicken is relatively lean and wouldn't be the best choice. Beef (steak or ground) or oily fish (salmon, spanish mackerel, sardines, etc) would be excellent choices. Natural meat/protein sources are generally carb free, so you don't have to worry there.

Weekend carb loads are more along the lines of CKD, I don't personally prefer that type of keto diet. Palumbo has you eating a high carb meal per week - i'd stick with that. Generally 30g carbs/day (mostly in the form of fiberous veggies) is the number to stay under; I'd try and stay closer to 20g.
