Any studies showing how long after ex sups are good for?

I was wondering if anyone knows of studies that have shown how effective different supplements are past expiration. My uncle is always giving me expired supplements because he owns a few supplement stores. Some of the stuff is 18+ months expired but he swears up and down its still good.
