    Exclamation New member - COMBAT VET

    Hey guys... thought I'd throw in a thread! Going to the doctors next week and MAY be getting steroids to help me physically and mentally. I was directed by my psychiatrist to make an appt with my fam doc.

    Quick questions... is there "the best" kind of steroid? Is there a certain kind I should be leary about? Thanks

    Welcome to the forum. Wouldn't say that there are best sorts. Some work better than others. Others work faster than some. Depends what your aiming at.

    the foundation of all steroids is always testosterone. The testosterone variations come about due to how quickly the testosterone becomes freely available for use. There are a variety of esthers that dictate this "time release factor". Most common is either cypionate or ethanate, which are both, more or less, equivalent. And due to certain metabolic processes involved, testosterone is really (for practical purposes) only administered through injections, inter muscularly. There are gels and patches available. Unfortunately, very expensive, and very ineffective. Plus the gels, if it comes in contact with your woman, can actually give her side effects, since women are VERY sensitive to testosterone. Best just stick with injections, if that is the path your doctor recommends.
