    Lower Back Pain from Deadllifts

    Greetings,
I have a 30 lb black cat on my lap that eats more than I do during a bulking cycle right now so this is hard to type, but two weeks ago I did a deadlift routine that was very advanced for me. Ever since, I've been having chronic problems with my lower back muscles tightening up to the point of near-excruciating pain. If I'm bent over and cleaning around the house - it tightens up and aches. When I do exercises in the gym that require me to put a little bit of strain on my lower back, it tightens up and hurts to the point that I want to leave the gym prematurely, particularly today when I did bent rows. But as soon as I sit down for ten minutes and let my back completely relax, all of the pain subsides. At first the notion crossed my mind that perhaps the deadlift workout caused some damage to a lower disc, but considering how fast the pain subsides when my lower back muscles loosen up, I'm not so sure.

Anyone have any experience with this sort of thing?

Similar to lower back pumps on orals,?? 10grams taurine pre workout helps for that, if it is the same kind of thing? Presume it has the same effect when not cycling with orals, worth a shot

When mine bulging disc wasnt too bad yet i only got symptoms when running or lifting because it would tighten up. I kept going though thinking nothing of it and ended up stuck laying on a heating pad not being able to bend over.

I would recommend giving it some rest for now

Ouch! See, that's exactly what I needed to hear, albeit not necessarily what I wanted to hear
Did you end up having surgery?

To auswest, I'm not really sure. Best case scenario is that due to the fact that I'm two weeks into a bulking cycle (and taking Anadrol), I'm getting pumps in my lower back that are so intense they hurt.

I'll go break out the heating pad and give it a good rest.

So you're 2 weeks in on anadrol, sounds like lower back pumps and yes they get so bad u just want to leave the gym it is fkn painful, supplement taurine, pretty sure 10g pre workout, I would also put 5 in my water bottle while working out, I have had it bad enough to the point after each set I've had to lie on a bench for a min or so until it relaxes. It really is not fun, and yes even when doing stuff around the house It would happen, if this is what you problem is and not an injury, taurine and push through finish a set and sit down after each set is all u can do, if it's an injury then rest but doesn't sound like thats the case

I have experienced this but to a much lesser extent. I actually believe this is erector muscles working too hard for some reason. My symptoms subsided, though... This was experienced on a Testosterone E cycle only.

Purchased some Taurine today. Ingested 500mg 1.5 hours prior to workout, then 500mg again 30 mins prior. I also put 1k mg in my during-workout supplement and not only did the pain decline to only the right-side of my lower back (rather than both sides), but I only experienced about a quarter of the pain, making my workout much more enjoyable. Pretty effective considering this is the first day of use. I also did quite a bit of research on Taurine's affect in the body - very impressive stuff. Thanks for the great advice auswest.

I have experienced similar problems with deadlifts and even leg press, with my lower back caning even though my form seems to be ok. Is Taurine available over the counter at a pharmacy?
