    HRT vs Cycling

    Hi guys,

Maybe an ignorant question to ask, but I'm curious what the differences are between HRT and guys who cycle... I guess what I'm asking about is the practical side of things.. such as:

    - drugs/dosages
    - do guys on HRT use AIs?
    - are peak T levels similar between the two?
    - physical results similar?

    etc

    Thanks !

HRT = hormone repla***ent therapy. When the body does not produce a normal level of testosterone people go on hrt to get their levels up in to the normal range.

In a range of say 180-1000, people on trt will aim to be somewhere in the mid to high part of the range.

People on hrt typically take 1-150mg/wk of test.. a few take 200. This is usually prescribed and monitored by a dr. with the aim to be in the 6-800 range. Some take AI's some don't.

People on cycle usually take 500mg+ per week of test and hit 1300+ range.

The results are different between the two. People on hrt will have an easier time putting on muscle n losing fat than someone who has low T, they can put on muscle similar to a healthy younger male. While People on cycle can pack on muscle beyond what the body is naturally capable of, faster and easier

thanks man. some great info. So I guess the whole reason people on TRT don't cycle, is because they're near physiological levels..., correct?

^^^^ Many people on TRT do cycle. Rather than going through PCT they just go back down to their TRT dose.

Ah okay.. thanks Johnny.. another q: For people who cycle.. how often do they cycle? I assume the general cycle + PCT is about 16weeks (~4months).. so max 3 times a year?

Cycle time + PCT = time off until next cycle. So of you do a 12 week cycle + 2 weeks until PCT + 4 week PCT, you would (if adhering to this) be looking at 36 weeks. So 2 cycles in a year...

Correct, except guys on TRT don't do PCT, so that could change the numbers.

Yeah, I was under the assumption that he meant a true cycle as opposed to a blast.

That definitely is a benefit of cruise and blast. Lol.

I think you are right and I misunderstood. I thought he meant guys on TRT who cycle. Well, now he has answers for both.

How long do people on hrt wait between cycles? I guess could actually be similar to blasting and cruising. I've heard in 2 weeks is all your receptors need for a break, but I'm sure your body as a whole would need more.

I think it would still be wise to follow the "time on equals time off" theory. For example, you probably wouldn't only take two weeks off after doing a 12 week cycle with a long ester as your levels would just be returning to normal and you wouldn't really have had any recovery time. The two weeks off thing is a pretty hard core way of doing things.

Having said that, I don't know what the accepted guidance is.

The 2 weeks thing is for Beta-2 adrenergic receptors when using Clen.

Androgen receptors do not downregulate. But there are tons of reasons why it is a good idea to give your body a break from high doses.
