Yes- but diamond earrings are a no-no as are all diamonds/jewelry for me. Reasons behind it are:
1. I'm divorced. Spent $55K on my ex-wife's ring... look where that got me.
2. Girlfriend after the ex-wife, 3 year relationship, bought her diamond studs after a year, and the 3 year Christmas a ring she wanted (non-engadgement) and all of that cost me $20K.
I'm not spending another dollar on diamonds... bad investment for me historical. No woman gets any diamonds from me until AFTER I marry her.

I couldn't think of anything else to get her; and she couldn't afford it. It was more of a gesture as opposed to spoiling her. She's very humble when it comes to $ and on a tight budget herself. I'm not Johnny Got Rocks either; but I'm also 35 years old and more established than she is (homeowner, retirement plans, etc).

Take her to the beach. Go for long walks on the beach holding hands at sunset. Rent an expensive hotel. Take her out for an expensive dinner at a mostly empty restaurant if possible. Go back to your place and cuddle up and watch a scary movie. Hug her when she hints when she's scared. Kiss her neck, touch her gently like she's delicate, tease her, make out with her, take her clothes off and give her the best sex you've she's ever had...pound the shit out of her and spank her in positions such as doggy. Every girl I've been with seems to enjoy it and it gets them wetter. Ask her what she wants and do that half of the time and f*ck her like an animal the other half. Let me explain the fvcking coat. She saw it one day a long time ago (like when I first met her) and wanted to buy it herself. She was gonna put it on her credit card but I talked her out of it. She makes shit- she works on things for kids; like non-profit salary. She was "saving" to buy the coat herself but then her car broke down and she needed to put her coat $ into her car. So.... at the last minute when I couldn't find anything else to get her I said fvck it and bought her the damn coat. She didn't ask for it, and she's typically way to cheap to buy "material" things.

I know I know... can't go cheap this time. I"m not worried about that... but I do have my limits. I'm not spending thousands of dollars on a purse, or anything retarded like $500.00 gloves and $500.00 hats. Can't buy tickets without knowing what dates she can go... which is the problem with that. I know where to take her; no clue when she can go and IF she can get the time off work. That's why I haven't done it yet. Trust me- if there was an easy solution I could think of I wouldn't be asking on the forum. I've thought about all of this since Thanksgiving.

Her main hobby is reading. She loves to read books, a ton of them. But... I was gonna buy her a Kindle or whatever for her birthday and she didn't want one because she wants to have the real book. That's how I ended up buying the coat at the last minute. We were at the store and I asked her why she doesn't have a Kindle and she told them me she hates them which ruined my first birthday present idea at the last minute. She loves fashion/clothes; but after 6 months I can't just get her a gift certificate to Target and she won't spend big $ on clothes from other places.
