Newbie Needs Advice On First Cycle Planning

I’ve been researching AAS for quite some time (have read just about everything on this site, there are definitely some contradictory things but it looks like there is just some newer info now).

I am in the midst of a PH cycle (Epistane) that I will be ending early. Then I will carefully line things up for an AAS cycle.

    My stats are

    35 years old
185 – 190 lbs at the moment depending on the day
    5’ 10.5” (yes, .5 )
About 14 % BF, maybe a little less
Training 5-6 days a week for last 18 months (Four day split with cardio 2-3 times a week and a rest day).

Previous training experience goes back about 10 years off and on. I have a decent base, but it’s been a lot harder to get it back this go around (easy to lose weight, just harder to put the muscle back on).

    Diet
My TDEE is around 2000 kcal. (job is sedentary)

    Currently consuming 2,800 – 3,000 kcals/day on average.

I put on fat pretty easily these days, but muscle groups have definitely been growing. Trouble spots for me are chest and abs.

    Goals
My goals are to get as muscular and lean as possible (10-ish percent BF) and try to stay around 190 – 195. I realize I may have to cut afterwards.

    Medications:
I am on Pantropazole for mild stomach issues (it’s a Proton Pump Inhibitor) and some anxiety medication (very low dose). My research indicates neither will have problems with AAS. Also, it appears my body doesn’t like Milk Thistle at all (get super bloated right away).

    Now on to my questions:
I’m trying to plan a newbie AAS cycle and want to make sure I get it right and stay healthy. I’ve ready the safety threads, pinning threads, starter cycles, etc., etc.

As I understand it, I should start with a test only cycle to see how my body responds and set a good base. As best I can tell, it would look something like this:

    1) Get blook work done to get base lipid and test levels.
    2) Wks 1-12 test e 500mg/week pinned every 3.5 days
    3) Optionally some dbol for the first 4 weeks (I would likely NOT do this during first cycles unless a senior person recommends it)
    4) Have some Nolva on-hand in case needed on-cycle for Gyno (I already have this)
    5) Run a solid PCT cycle consisting of Nolva and/or Clomid as outlined in numerous threads.

What am I missing? Should I be running some sort of AI during weeks 1-12?

Anything else that you can think of for my goals?

Please be frank, I can handle whatever you throw at me. I'm much more concerned about getting it right and staying healthy.

Sorry for the newbie questions, I’m just trying to figure everything out. Thank you in advance for your help.

    Thank you!!

Also, in regards to diet. I'm averaging about 200 - 250 g of Protein per day, 200-300 g of carbs (depending on training schedule) and the rest fats. I can give specific examples if needed, but basically I'm eating 4 - 5 meals a day with good macro nutrient breakdowns and trying to keep things as clean as possible.

I meticulously track everything I eat, weigh it, look at ingredients, etc.

The only real problems I see with my diet is that I'm getting too much sodium (4 -5 g a day usually, sometimes a little more). I'd like to bring that down.

But please let me know if you have thoughts around diet as well.

    Thanks!

so your goal is to add 5 lbs and drop 4%bf ?

i don't think you need steroids for that....

post up your diet for critique in the nutrition section and work on that.. you probably could achieve your goals naturally.. no need to risk your health..

^ kronik is right, seems as if the diet gurus could help you out with your macros and get you dialed in. How long are you looking to stay around 10%? If you want to stay there for good, you've got to be on point with your diet the majority of the time. If you are set on gear, these guys will help you out for sure though.

Drop the dbol for first cycle. Also the carbs seem a bit high but everyone is different. The first cycle is test only as you know and you won't need anything else to see good results.

Remember diet is king to bulking or cutting not AAS. good Luck!

Sounds good guys. I guess, maybe my lean mass numbers might be a little off. I just wanted to be conservative to start. Maybe 200 lbs is a longer term goal for me.

Thanks though, I will get my diet info together and post over in the diet forum.

    Thank you!

Once your in the nutritional section, look in the sticky "so you wanna learn how to Diet." There are 6 amazing videos about diet, from a superb bodybuilder.I have watched him over and over again, and each time I watch him I learn something else. Great way to get your diet under control!!

I'd say go ahead and go with test at 500mg for 12 weeks. But as said u could achieve that naturally but I think you would be close to your natty limit. It would take a little longer wihout gear but it could be done. If patience is not an issue try it without gear. Post up some pics

I know I haven't reached my natty limit. But I've been at a plateau for quite a while. I even took a month off (to reset and help the old knees and such) and then tried doing various progressive routines (like HST and modified versions of it) but I think I've gone backwards. I'm 36 years old. My Test numbers weren't bad, but could definitely be better. I don't have pics atm, but I will.

I think my routine is much better tuned in these days than a year ago.

You should try getting off the Pan asap, especially for mild stomach issues. You will basically be producing no stomach acid at all, and therefore have no way of digesting most of what you're eating, especially protein... IMO not an ideal situation if you want to be in shape. Read up on some of the longer term effects... does osteoporosis sound like a good thing? I don't think adding aas to the mix would be a smart move at this point.
If you have gastric reflux or chronic heartburn, try and figure out if you have a food intolerance, especially grains. Fixing that should be first priority.

don't worry about reaching the natty limit, anything you gain on steroids that is past natty limit can not be kept.
