anybody still downloading songs?

seems like downloading music the ol' fashined way (free) doesnt work to well. havent downloaded in a while and just wanted to get this song today, couldnt get winmx to download it, aries doesnt connect, exeem doesnt connect...its a pretty popular song too. anybody have a downloading program that is currently running and working well? or is anti-file sharing people finally starting to win their battle?

There aren't many free places you can music nowadays. I use Napster myself but have to pay £9.95 a month (about $18) But i can dowload any song i want.
I once used Kazaa to download some songs for free, but it comes with a lot of crap, viruses, pop-ups, etc.

Go to www.download.com and you can get a lot of programs for free. I use morpheus 4.9. It works great!

Yup, Limewire.com is the place to be downloading now. Most the songs are legit. When down loading songs it's important these days to have a IP blocker open while down loading. This ensures that the "LOADED" songs that the gov and record companies place on these sites to catch you can't be tracked to your machine. A good one is found at:

Make sure when you install it, you dont want to block "http".

Just download it and make sure it's open while you are downloading to be safe.

use to do ares, but dont think ive seen it connect for 2 months, then winmx use to be another good one, but lately its been showing a song and a ton o people will have it but it just wont download it for some reaon, just says waiting for network reply. think ill try limewire or some of the other things mentioned
