    Mid-Size Truck?

Alright I'm looking to get a truck within the next few weeks and it'll be my first vehicle. I've been leaning towards the Chevy Colorado and the Toyota Tacoma and just want to know your guys's opinions on mid-size trucks. I'm thinking about going for used, either 06 or 07 and not looking to spend more then 24 g's... What a good, well-rounded truck, with power and gas mileage?

    Dodge Ram 1500 FTW
All kinds of power, but reasonable gas mileage.

Although the tacoma ain't a bad truck either...

    You're lookin for a pick-up? 4x4?

toyotas are nice. my mom was buying one about 2 years ago because she needed something to pull her boat with, and she also bought a snow plow attachment because our driveway is pretty big and she couldn't shovel it all by herself (and i would help, but i'm at college)

she ended up getting a silverado with the big engine because the tundras have a terrible turning radius in order to make their drivetrains (i think?) last longer. but those engines are amazing, and the tacomas aren't bad either, just less powerful with the 4L

the ram 1500s are nice, but bad on gas. depending on what you use it for, diesel might be good because they have a ton of power

rofl at the lightening and srt 10, neither of those are rated to tow anything at all

The Tundra is a bit large.

    Not a mid-sized truck.

If your spending that much you can get a new truck. They are doing all kinds of deals and rebates that you wont get on a used. 6 months ago we bought a fully loaded tundra for work. And after all the rebates and negotiating we got it under the price you want to pay.

it's the 4 door. 5.7, upgraded wheels, chrome running boards everything. Toyota was doing over 9k in rebates. Then what we got the dealer to drop. Trust me truck sales are down big time.

I love my Tacoma. I sacrificed gas mileage for the 4wheel drive package. I don't now exactly what the rear drive mileage would be.

LOL. I agree. But what I think is dumber is when people get 4wd, jack up their trucks, put on KC lights and brush guards, and never take them out to the woods because it's all for appearance. This, to me, makes less sense than just buying a 2wd because they want to haul stuff in the city.
