lol. . .Nah, our tractors run on diesel. And they don't tax that for farm use, so it's really cheap

Bullsheet! We all know you farmers use #2 red heating oil in your tractors instead of diesel!

Seriously though, truckers coming from VT often get nailed by the "Controle Routier" cops (truck inspection police) for having heating oil in their diesel.

In all seriousness, I would not mind the high price of fuel (which is mostly taxes here) if they actually used the money to maintain the roads... but anyone who has driven in Quebec knows that the money sure ain't being used for that... average road here makes the roadways in Bosnia after the war look good...

That's because wagons don't burn much fuel.

Around $1.85-1.90 per gallon(lowest octane) here.

Same here... I live exactly 5 miles from work.

I used to drive a 4x4 and it cost me over $65 a week to fill it up (fuel was in the $0.70/litre range back then), more if I went up north for the weekend.

I got rid of it and now drive a shîtbox Cavalier with a 4 banger and a tiny tank... only good point is that it now costs me less than $35 a week in gas (at the current $0.88 a litre).

I miss the comfort and convenience of my truck... but my wallet is a little happier

That was in Tierrasanta... the prices have dropped WAYYY down since that post. It's at like 2.37 right now last I looked, that was over on Convoy and Clairemont Mesa.

I could go on base and go fill up cheaper, but the lines are unreal. My time is more valuable than the few cents I would save.

Not bad for PB... seems like they always have more expensive gas there... same with like Mission Valley, and of course La Jolla. Anywhere they only have a few gas stations and lots of people...
