small or medium wrists yet big framed

Has anybody else noticed this calculation is wrong sometimes?
For alot of people i say its pretty close but ive got a friend with 7 inch wrists, and i have 8 inch wrists and he is way bigger than me and were the same height. Like his shoulders are way wider, so is his rib cage, and its not muscle either, we have about the same amount of meat on us.

Just wondering if its possible for a person to have average sized wrists like my friend but be large in frame

I'm by no means a big guy, but my body structure helps provide an illusion of being larger than I am. I'm only 5'5" sitting at 165lbs. My wrists measure just under 6.5 inches while I measure about 45" around lats and chest and just under 55" around at the shoulders. Makes for a decent look in t-shirts and casual wear, but makes it hell trying to find off the rack dress clothes.
