I am looking for a bit of advice from some of those that have been in B2B sales...newbs and experienced alike.

I recently left retail sales to move into B2B sales. My goal was outside sales (and eventually pharm sales), but most companies will start you on inside sales and then promote you. (I have no prob with this, I know you have to eat poop for a while.)

I ended up finding a mechant services company that has allowed me to go right into outside sales. Great, right? But man in the last several months I've questioned my decision alot. The company's not bad, but the mercant service business kinda sucks...We're a dime a dozen, and we seem to be hated more than bible salesmen. I know things are going to suck in the beginning, but I'm just not sure if time is going to fix certain things.

I don't know, I guess I'm just looking to hear from people that are in sales and how they got started.
