Dear Dr.
I know there must be one of you on this site. There is so much competing information on the use of supplements and anabolic steroids, specific individual cases each with different body types/ages etc., that I confused as to what really is going on with this subject and how it can apply to me. There are so many posts (unsearchable really) but I am unable to find a chart/data/resource, in one landing place, that compares to my age/case.
I am 49 yrs. old, I weigh 155 lbs. and I want to put on 15-20 lbs. of muscle mass in about 45 days (but no hurry really). I have noticed muscle mass loss in the last few years. I recognize age is catching up with me and I do experience diminished quality, so I want/need to increase the quality of my life so I can better prepare for future effects of aging, bone loss, muscle loss etc. I do everything my doctor says, yet I have friends both at my age and others that are significantly older that are on steroid programs and I do see improvements in their lives. I am not on or ever have been on steroids.
I am healthy, I exercise/gym, cook everything I eat, I do not take any other medications and do not have any history of physical or mental illnesses. I do not want to take any injections and I want to stay away from steroids that have intolerable side effects such as water retention and estrogen side effects. Also, the aim is to select the correct steroid cycle so I can minimize the post cycle treatment. I need help with the following:
1. Do you have a study on men for over 40 that are successful examples of cycle use and can you share it?
2. Do I even need to be taking steroids at all? Or are there alternatives to increase muscle/strength? I need to grow at my age.
3. What is the correct supplement for this goal?
4. Do I need to employ a post cycle treatment to control side effects? What PCT do you recommend?
Your help is much appreciated.
