What kind of dog should I get?

My options are a West White Highland Terrier. I love these dogs cause they're very very intellegent and are beautiful. The other option is a Yorkshire Terrier. My sister has one and the whole family absoutly loves it. It is going to have pups soon, and my sister says that a big guy with a small dog drives women crazy. I would be happy wither either dog. both are intellegent and beautiful dogs when taken care of. What do you guys think?

german shepherd are the most loyal and courageous dogs. go for a shepherd. they are smart and will defend you and your family at all costs. sure labs and retrievers are smart, but do they also have the balls that a dog should have?

Any and all dogs can be trained to protect a family. It is all about how you raise them. I raised my previous dog to not be aggressive, he was very passive.

Get a Rottie....... They are smart and loyal. I don't like small dogs. I'm afraid to play to rough with them.

Get a Cairn terrier. All the looks of a Westy, none of the health problems.

I think they also call it a Boerboel...It's a mix of 2 or 3 types of mastiffs, african dingo, and american bulldog. They get about 140-170 lbs and they don't slobber all over...
