As for stree fights, I don't even want to try and count...I've been in fights after footballs games with the rival teams and all kinds of crap. Got into quite a few at college parties as well as bars. I don't ever start them though. I get screwed with alot because I am one of the bigger guys and everyone want to try and kick the big guys butt. Or, some idiot will grope 1 of the girls we are with.

Well growing up in a neighborhood with 4 white families and dozens of black and puerto rican families, you get in to a couple scraps.

Ok it's official, you are a tool...I specifically remember your last thread (must have gotten deleted) where you listed out all the yrs you trained in each art. You had BJJ down with 4 yrs experience. I asked who you traine dunder or who they were certified under and I never got an answer. You are full of shi^...You are a nobody and you come on here to tell us stories of fights you have seen and stories you have read. You are a moron. I'll bet you were the bar patron and had ur butt kicked by the bouncer. You reversed roles and wrote a story for us...loser

    whoa iron, chillaxe

i can't remember you asking that question

I trained under Bill Wolfe (www.defendo.com) and some local guys here in my town

Iron, Brazilian JuJitsu as i was taught, is SPECIFICALLY designed for grapping on the ground, because when we were standing, it was muay thai we trained, and pain compliance holds (self-defence style)

Our entire preface of BJJ was studying

    - the guard and how to apply armbars from
    - escaping the mounted position (bridge and roll)
    - passing the half guard
    - sidemount (sidemount reversal and sidemount escape)
    - the 3 point standup
(and of course your basic chokes, rear, side, gulliotine, front but that's without question)

Now these 4 years of training i stacked with my kickboxing, so i would do my KB class, and then go to my BJJ class, and our instructor was big on practicing the basics hundreds of thousands of times, so i'm not saying i know EVERYTHING about the art/sport, i'm saying that i have experience in it.

also, because my personal prefrance is standup, it is a disadvantage to me to stay on the ground, as people who are skilled will either a) set up for ground and pound or b) submit me

also, when i'm on the bottom, or in the guard, i get winded very easily

i've done a couple in-school tournaments which fortunetly prohibited striking while on the ground (to encourage skill over strength).

please don't call me a moron or a loser

all that and your asking how to get out of a rear naked choke? you smell of fish. and just so you know BJJ is only fighting on the ground and the only stand up they teach is take downs. unless you wanna count flying armbars which are kinda impractical cause i doubt someones gonna try it in the street. i mean id love to but its hard to get a hold of someones wrists in a street right, then post off of their hip into a flying armbar, so yeah like i said before bjj only teaches ground fighting

    thanks jcstomper,

as i said, BJJ was designed for grappling on the ground

i meant a STANDING rear choke

all i was taught was to jam the choke and drop the hips and move to one side, but unfortunetly, most normal people sintch up the choke so you can't move your hips

i've heard of a technique where you just drop to the ground or role out of the standing choke, but i've never been taught these methods, which is why i asked
