Super Bowl XXVIII was a rematch of Super Bowl XXVII: the Cowboys against the Buffalo Bills, this time in Atlanta. Much to the grief of the AFC, the Buffalo Bills had won their fourth straight AFC Championship. This time they wanted the ring. To get it, they would have to beat the defending Super Bowl Champions, the team that beat them last year. No one expected this game to be any different from last year's game. It was

Buffalo's defense stood tall in the first half and only allowed Dallas two field goals. Buffalo took a 13-6 lead into half-time. Even worse, Buffalo started the second half with the ball. As the second half began, Buffalo began a drive that could have ended the Cowboy's hopes. Then as fate would have it, the turnover bug that hurt Buffalo in Super Bowl XXVII struck again. Leon Lett caused a fumble which was returned by James Washington for a touchdown. Dallas was tied and had the momemtum. Dallas never looked back as Buffalo never scored in the second half. Dallas won 30-13 and successfully defended their Super Bowl Championship.
