An employee has been making things very difficult at the office.
The employee also tries to sour my relationship with my boss.

My girlfriend works in the same office and aware of this.
My girl calls me up Sat night to let me know she's at the *bad employee's* house for drinks.

I had a melt down - yet my girl can't understand why i'm upset that she's at the *bad employee's* place.

Secondly, if your girlfriend has that little of respect for you and your relationship, I'd be finding another g/f..I can't understand why she would be over there in the first place..Although I would guess "Bad employee" purposely invited her over to get a reaction from you..No, I don't think you are out of line..
