I actually thought about using latex gloves and the whole handwriting thing when sending cash in the mail, but thought I was just being paranoid. Maybe next time I will. Better safe than sorry.

base, that likely won't happen if that's your first time, but there's still a chance.

if you get a slip that says you have a package you can do the following:

1. not claim it because you're too paranoid or because the cops are really there.

2. wait 3 weeks to claim it. the cops are unlikely going to sit and wait at the apartment complex office for 3 weeks waiting for you to show up to claim the package. if they're on to you they'll most likely send someone to your door to deliver the package right to you instead of waiting for you to claim that package at the office. if it's your real name on there then there's not much you can do. you can decline to accept it, but they can arrest you anyway.

something to ease your mind: it can take up to 4 months for customs to send you a seizure letter. usually when the dea/fda comes after you because of a customs seizure they do it within just a couple of weeks, not 2 months.
