If you look at the Mods' responses alone, thus far it's three against, one in favor.

Make that four against. I'm afraid I have to come out on that side as well, bro (with respect to Bouncer, which simply indicates our diverse opinions). The fact is that if it offends anyone, it should go.

With regard to murph's observation that "some ppl have nude chicks for theirs," that is generally not the case here at A.R., although it is definitely the case when it comes to other boards (especialy in the members' pics section of one or two of them). There may be some nude avatars on A.R. on the part of members who have not posted in a while and which we have not caught; if we are made aware of them, they will go.

I think it's important to simply realize that we are committed to not having a double standard for men and women; that is why this particular avatar should go (yeah, even if it's only a stuffed horse). It's not that we don't have a sense of humor or that we don't like things that are sexual, but that A.R. is committed to being a board that is not only informative and supportive, but also respected in the AS, fitness, and bodybuilding/weightlifting communities.

Speaking generally rather than about a specific avatar, suffice to say that A.R. wants to be the board for which it takes both hands to type messages. If you get my drift...

I agree with if it does offend anyone he should get rid of it, but hes a nice guy who doesnt mean to offend anyone and i dont think he has hurt anyone by having it but i guess to elimate the chance of offending anyone maybe it is best to change it.

ranger...i have read alot of your posts, so i know your an intelligent bro who was looking for a laugh..and i gave you one when i saw it....

the reason i think you should change it is because, although it is not offensive to me, someone will try to out do this avatar with a similiar type picture,(you know how competitive most of us are)....and it will only get worse until someone gets offended or angry.....

plus if someone from one of the boards that do allow this, happens to migrate to us, we want to set a positive example......

sorry guys I didnt come back here to see what response I got so Im taking it off but it was only a stuffed animal, what about people with naked chicks. I thought that would offend people before a stuffed animal with a stiffy. Im sorry if I offended anyone but went ahead and changed it but thought we could use a little laughter so my mission was complete.
