i can, but most arnt just bc they cant swim, they are injured or drunk, or black...lol on a serious note, a guy i knew in the army swore that black ppl couldnt swim, and i noticed if u watch all the challenges on tv, whenever its a water one, the black ppl are always first out.. coincidence... maybe... but i always thought it was funny he thought that

I can swim good. My grandparents had a pool that I'd swim in ever since I was like 2 or 3. My parents made me take swim lessons at the YMCA for a few years too. As wierd as this may sound, I still remember the very first time I was underwater, the instructor dunked me for a couple sec, it was probably 21 or 22 years ago and I still remember.

I can swim with the best of them......... I have swam a mile before and then I swam 2 miles in open water no time to stop and put your feet down to rest except on the 2 mile when you got to one side you could catch a breather and rest your arms before you went back across

I'm a fair swimmer. Last month I hit 650 meters on my Cooper 12 with a freestyle. What I find difficult is adjusting buoancy when in water with larger than average (swimmers, not you guys) musculature. I find I really have to drive my head deeper than most to buoy up my hips and legs which makes it a real pain in the arse to clear my head when I go for air.

I grew up on the water...and like most people who have can attest, you become quite the waterman in the process.

I don't know about other black people but I sink like a fvcking rock if I stop swimming/treading water. I have a lot of friends that can like lay on their back and float in the water but if I try it I sink to the bottom of the pool. So, yes I can swim but it's like a workout or something.

most freak accidents happen when people panic or fatigue sets in. i can swim very well but pools and oceans are two different things.

    about 8 miles 5x week
in the english channel... cold ass shit

also swam 2 miles off the coast of norway - no wet or dry suit, just my skiddies

black people are said to have denser bones than white people (or is it lighter) anyway it inhibits their swimming ability, the same with gymnastics or something... its a genetic thing i think

My two good friends also are like black boulders when they get in the water, straight to the bottom.
