I know it helped me attain a high profile client, who never would have found me if I were only local. I don't use the Net to look for friends, no, but it has helped my business exposure for which I am grateful. Those who use the Net as a tool to try and purposely meet people, that is an issue I would say, yes. A mixture of daily life and Net, that's better, as the Net like I said "CAN" be used to reach an audience otherwise un-attainable.
