My take on forum signatures...

I've read through all the post about why we don't have signature abilities. Advertising, size, disrespect, and so on.

What if the board had a system in which a person would send their signature in an email or what not to the mods, have the mods approve the signature, and then have the mod put their signature in? And of course you could have like a "1,000 post minimum" to even have the priviledge of having a sig?

Just my thoughts. I respect the forum and this was just a thought since I'm an artist and I think signatures can really help express a person like art does.

This page is slow enough as it is. What would happen if everyone had a pic or whatever in their sig.? They would have to increase the bandwith and I don`t think that would be of interrest for the owner. And the mods probably have enough to do without having to look thru every sig.

That is very true, looking through all submitted sigs would be a task I would run away from, as would all the mods.

Especially since you have to break out all the approved ones into certain "usergroups" and manually tinker with each submission for a good while. No way in blue hell I'd do all that......

This has been discussed a lot in the past, so let's not re-hash the entire thing.

THIS nub happened to realize sigs weren't available and THIS newb SEARCHED and READ through the SEARCH engine .... I simply had a comment/suggestion to make. Didn't push the issue. Last time I remember, this was a free country and one had the right to make a comment?

Just a thought and I respect the forums... intentionally put those TWO things there in hopes that someone LIKE you wouldn't make an ass comment like that. Never fails.
