how do you store your gear?

i know a cool dark place is good, but i'd like to hear any experiences that have been less than desirable. does one type of storage (such as cold storage) have any effects such as causing the gear to crash,etc.?

that works well for me. the temp is never to cold! never had anything crash on me.

I keep it in a shoe box inside of a back pack in my closet high up so my wife or kids cant reach it. That is if I had any gear.

A small tackle box with an equally small lock is appropriate. Keeps small hands and minds out of your stuff but the lock isn't so sturdy that it couldn't be broken off (bare handed) in an emergency (like when you forgot your key and it's time for your test).

i know of 1 guy on here who says it doesn't matter. he says you can freeze it, leave it in your black mustang in az at over a hundred degrees time after time...lol. me, i follow the manufactures instructions. avoid direct sunlight. store at room temp, do not freeze.

A little black lock box in the closet. Or under the bed. Always dark and always locked! Never had anything crash yet.
Not in the car because of extreme temperature fluctuations. It's like being in a greenhouse.

I don't use illegal drugs. Prescription only. I want to keep everything together, organized and away from those who don't need to be exposed to it. Simple as that.
