    Scar tissue maybe?

I've been having sharp pain deep into my delts where i was injecting every time. I've tried other injection sites but the delts are my preference. I have been using 1.5" sticks going all the way in. Am i going too deep for the delts? Should i stop injectung there or is this a common problem that will go away?

    Thanx in advance

1 1/2 is a big pin unless you have really big delts. I would stay away from that area for a good couple of weeks anyhow. I had that problem with my right glute so I haven't shot there for a good month now. There are too many other spots to hit.

1 inch pin is good for delts. I would not go longer.
take a hot shower to relax the muscle. heat the oil. insert pin, aspirate, inject and message the muscle. pain could come from: moveing around to much, injecting to fast, going to deep. a little blood is ok as long as you dont get it when you aspirate.
if you have a build up of scare tissue the needel will be hard to push in and you will hear a crunching sound. injection sites should be rotated. most people will say 7 days between useing the same spot. I go 2 weeks

I used 25g 5/8"...its perfect,i shoot 1/week per muscle grup to prevent infection, scar and edemas....rotation is the key.

Bleeding isnt a problem. It may cause a little bruising, but it will go. It just means you may have nicked a vein in the way in/out. No big problem.

Are you piercing the skin slowly with the pin? Or jabbing fairly hard?

Lay off your delts for a while and try your quads. Like everyone already said, use 1" for delts from now on.

If your quads bleed, it's really no big deal. Try Z-tracking.
Slide the skin and sub tissue over and then shoot. Keep the skin pulled over tight until after you withdraw the needle. The skin will slide back over the hole in the muscle, preventing excessive bleeding and leaking of the injected fluid.

IMO, Quads are the only area that is easy to Z-track because you can use both hands.
