    hatton is gonna break him

    Eh, didn't really win.

I honestly think it should have ended in a draw; if not went to Collazo. And I loved how they were trying to pair Hatton up with Floyd Jr. or Oscar... They would tear him up, esp. with how great Oscar was looking last weekend, not sure if you caught that one but it was probably among one of his best. I think he has potential but he's not ready for big guys like that. But it was a pretty good fight. I'm sure we'll see more of both.

Yeah I think the same way as you do ms. I think it should have ended in a draw since it could of gone both ways. I don't think that the scorecards were fair at all. Like 112-115, 112-116. I know hatten droped him on the first but he didn't have a really clear win. Collazo fought a good fight and he is not known as a big puncher. Bob Arum said that if Hatton won he would fight Antonio Margarito on August of 2006. I think Margarito will drop him but I dont think he is up there with the rest of the catz that could fight.

All though im a fan of hatton he didnt look as good and didnt throw nearly as many punches as usual...collazo was good but hatton did get the right decision he done just a little more but it wouldnt suprise me if it had been a draw.

    Maybe a rematch ?

i think he should go back down a weight. his punches wernt comin of as good last night.
he knocked him down after 12secs tho lol. collazo looked stronger overall.
i love watchin hatton but i wasnt too convinced with the win.

Wow....ricky hatton almost made a disaster of his American debut. Well most americans havent seen Hatton fight, and he's going to have a lot more convincing to do. Especially fighting a guy that literally lived a few blocks away from me.

Yeah idk for a match that Hatton knew he had to be impressive....he just wasn't. I really don't know where he goes for here. I don't think he really has a choice but to fight a big name next, but if he loses he's going to be thought of as an Audrey Harrison.

Hattons used to fighting in england...didnt expect collazo to be so strong. It couldve ended in a draw but had collazo pressed the action hatton mightve fallen he looked hurt in the last round.hatton however will be rudely awakened if he faces any of the guys he mentioned. He may want to fight cotto from puerto roco in which he will get arse handed to him.

Who will get their ass handed to them Cotto or Hatton? Cuz Cotto punches a hell of a lot harder than Collazo.

hatton needs about another 4 fights at welter before he finks of facing cotto.
you could see collazo was naturally broader then hatton the other night. collazo naturally a welter where as hatton would have had to change his diet and training to make the weight. and jumping into a title fight straight away w/ no expierience at that weight may have been a mistake but he still won. weather it was boarder line or not a win is a win.

I think hatton will be more then ready for his defence or shot another title...he looked kind of bloated after watching the fight again as if he concentrated on wieghts a little to much then his boxing abillity but time will tell...he won the fight so no point fixing what aint broke.

Yeah but he barely scraped by on a guy who has a pretty poor knockout ratio. Collazo punches were crisper and cleaner. Imagine if he fights a guy like Cotto who has even cleaner harder punches who shows maturity in the ring.

yeah i got you point....but hatton didnt look as you said crisp and accurate but i think he will by the next fight as he will be use to wieght and able to concentrate more on the boxing.

You got to rember the fight was only finaled around one month ago and was only tols just over a week ago it was for the title so i realy dont think he did to bad with the circumstances.

I agree cotto has the gift and i hope they do fight and then well see exactly what its about...would be a great fight but somthnig tells me hatton is going to shine in his next fight.

I love it its the time of the year where big fights are happening so eyes are glued to the tv or the net

Hatton was in my uncles words "a punching machine" he did not stop throwing punches and his attack even after being rocked in the 12th. He has a chin, and stamina, a little rough around the edges but a good fighter. Collazo is a better boxer but did not figure out Hatton until the later rounds which I believe cost him the fight.

Usfighter i meant Hatton will get his a$$ handed to him.....Hatton doesnt punch hard he wears his oppeonents down.At 147 he didnt look strong at all.Collazo isnt even a puncher and had Hatton hurt a couple of times.Cotto will knock Hatton out in 8rounds or stop him on cuts in 10.

ive always said he is out of his league, a few argued with me but never the less, it dont mean im writing him off or anything but hes a small guy who baloons his weight between fights, thats why he has trouble making his old weight. in the division hes in now hes gonna be going against really good yanks, some of the best that have been, and they will be close to 6foot tall.

the likes of de la hoya, cotto etc will not give him the room to move and get comfortable in the fight. if he goes on to a stronger boxer next fight he wont last the distance.

in my book hatton will fall soon, if he isnt matched up with a tailor made powder puff haha.

he has no other option but to do just that.
he hasnt exactly started on the front foot in the US has he. if he dont impress the next fight hes gonna end up like calzaghe. years later and he justifys himself as worthy.
but to be honest hatton wont be round long enough. i think he will retiere before 30.
