I Found this interesting piece of wisdom on some other forum,
"Adding muscle has nothing to do with intensity/training/rest/strength or power training. It has to do wiht your diet."
I'm ready to unload on this jackass, but, is it even worth it?![]()

well diet really is the key
Of course it is. Diet is important, but to say everything else has nothing to do with it? Come on.
Diet is the biggest part of the whole equation
Failure to do any of those will give u crappy results.

i say diet is 80-90% of it
kuz w/o diet nothing w/ happen
diet is the biggest part, and the part most commonly left out...but a person can eat perfectly, and have sh*t work ethic in the gym and see no results. saying that training and intensity has NOTHING to do with adding muscle is ridiculous.
Well..
If u dont train... u're not gonna get much muscle.
If u dont eat right, u're not gonna get much muscle..
if u dont rest.. but instead party all the time, or work 80 hours a week, u're not gonna get much muscle
diet is the most important. the other factors are important...but not nearly as important as your diet.
Im gonna go against the rest and say that I think diet is not more important. Eating to gain muscle and strenght is easy. Making a good routine is not.
Bodybuilders often seem to put way to much time into diet and to little into a good routine. Powerlifters seems to do the opposit.
All opinions and percentages aside, you definitely need every one of these factors in tune to make decent gains. Proper Diet, proper training and proper rest. If one is out of whack, you're going nowhere. To declare that training and rest contribute nothing to gains is just crazy talk.
that guy is a moron, if proper diet did everything, no one would ever go to a gym
i got to 260 with a piss poor diet for the last five years. NOW its catching up and i can't even gain a pound with huge doses of gear.
may affect different people at different times but w/out the diet you will falter.
