anyone ever work on a cruise?

I'm taking next fall off from school.. i'll have my degree in 2 years as soon as i go back but i've never worked full time in my life and i don't want to get out of school and have really bad reality shock when i start working. So i figured i'd take this year off to put some money in the bank and get an idea of what working 40hrs a week is like. So i'm really thinking about working on a cruise line. Apparently you bank about $2,000 a month and everything is paid for so its all saved. Has anyone done this and how did you go about doing it?

I don't like the ocean though, so you wouldn't catch me at sea!

I'v taken about 20 cruises on almost every cruise. I think it would be great for any one young. You will work more like 80 hours a week. Maybe $2,000
it you are a waiter, or an engineer. Go for a first class ship. Something like
Crystal. They charge guest about a grand each per night. You might meet
some one that will chang your life.

Had a friend that did it for 8 months and LOVED it. I would NEVER do it personally because it would just kill my training/diet and that is FAR FAR too important to me. But I mean its definitely a good job in terms of fun and money etc.

Job in the gym might not be a bad idea.. i was just thinkin about being like a cabin boy or maybe work in the daycare center or something, i get along well with kids we act the same.

and if she can afford $1000 / night then shes probably LOADED too

Crystal Cruises are the ships that Movie Stars go on. Very rich people.

New Thought. These Cruise Ships also pay Dudes to Dance and Flirt with
old Ladies. Some old ladies bury a husband or two and are loaded and
lonesome. You don't have to do the nasty.

Sounds like it would be great. I get sea-sick to easily... so I couldn't handle it.

These ships are so big that you don't even know you are at sea.

Well, unless there is a storm. You get used to the sea. Takes a
couple of weeks. I relax with the rocking motion. Just don't go
out in Hurricanes.
