If blood flow of the environment didn't have any affect, then technically it wouldn't matter if you went IM at all... as far as I know, you administer IM to get the gear into a place where there is increased blood flow to break down the ester in a predictable fasion... unlike injecting into fat or Subq.
As far as "your body absorbs alot more of your gear by shooting in the glutes" - your body will absorb it all regardless of which muscle you use. It's the pattern of the ester's release that could become unpredictable.
