"Missile defense expert Phillip Coyle, senior advisor to the Center for Defense Intelligence, says a South Korean news agency has reported that North Korea test fired 10 missiles, not seven as now confirmed by the United States."
"At first it was three, then four or five, then six," Coyle wrote in an email to DefenseTech.org, a national security news service. "But the Yonhap news agency in South Korea says North Korea fired 10 missiles, not six. At the time of Tony Snow's press briefing with National Security Advisor Steve Hadley, the White House thought only three had been fired."

I do not know how many were fired, but it must have been at least 6. I do know that the one long range missle that they fired failed shortly after take off and fell into the sea. The UN Security Counsel has called an emergency meeting this morning as requested by Japan and the US. If anyone should be nervous it would have to be Japan. I remember when N Korea tested a missle that flew right over Japan, damn were they pissed.
you know im always on the fence when i hear about a threat to our national security. i beleive most of it is blown way out of proportion. that being said, for them to fire missles on the US's independence day is in poor taste, and will only be viewed as antagonistic by the rest of the world. Not a good PR move by the N. Koreans so to speak. the good thing is that they tried to show us up on our birthday and their tests failed.
Edited for stupidity.
Badgerman is not gonna like that comment....or yours either Logan...you know how he feels about your avatar!! and the US....be careful or he'll get started again...........![]()

Keep your derogatory comments to yourself and off this board. What you said is like calling a black person the "N" word.
No room for that childish shit here.
You've got a lot of nerve Mr. temper tantrum/marriage troubles/etc.
You may need a vacation soon as the mods have been suggesting.

Iran, Iraq, and N. Korea. In his state of the union address the president called these the axis of evil. Its funny now that we are in Iraq who is grabbing the spotlight.
I actually like the fact we, the US, are not taking the lead on the N.Korea situation. Let the countries in the region that are most threatened by N. Korea, like Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand, even Russia handle the problems in their backyard. After all, we have been told by most of the world, according to some, to mind our own business...I say we do this time.
