Surgery Tommorow - I Am Shitting My Pants

    Guys

I have surgery first thing tomorrow morning. I have Sleep Apnia. They are going to take out my tonsils, cut off my Epiglotis, laser the back of my throat to create scar tissue and drill out my nostrils. I am a real pussy when it comes to pain and this sounds like I am going to be in a world of it. Wish me luck guys, hopefully I will be back online in a couple of days.

Kale from Someone just getting out of surgery I have to say don't worry brother! You will be just fine and pain is just a state of mind. They rebroke my nose and adjusted and shaved off bone but I am not letting it bother me. Just stay strong and think of how much better off you will be when things are corrected

Thanks guys. The inital reason I am doing this is because the snoring keeps my wife awake. But when I spoke to the Doc he said there were a shit load of health problems that can occur because of this so its worth a bit of pain. Plus I have been having trouble breathing when I Scuba dive and this will help that a lot as well.

Glad you are OK Frankie !!!

Kale I went to an Ear nose and throat because they thought I would need the surgery but I am good. My friend just went for a sleep study and they ordered him a mask that openes his airway when he sleeps. He said just from wearing that mask the night of the study he had the best sleep hes had in a long time.

Did they offer you that option?

My dad had the same problem, they removed his tonsils. It took him almost 2 months to recover from it. For the first month he had problems eating anything solid. but his doctor was an idiot too. A couple days after the surgery, a cut opened up in his throat where the tonsils were removed and he started spitting out mouthfuls of blood. We rushed him to the hospital and they said hes lucky he got their quick otherwise it could have been deadly. Infection also set in so he was on antibiotics for a while. On the plus side he does breathe a lot easier now when hes sleeping. sorry to scare you hopefully it all goes well

Not a story you should have told him the night before his surgery lol

Kale you will be fine dude. The advances in medicine and the meathods by which things are done is far superior to how it used to be (I know you know this but I wanted to reassure ya)

You will be fine big guy!

Frankie I went to an ENT guy as well. I am in such bad shape they didnt even bother with the study. He couldnt even get the camera into one of my nostrils at all. He also said I had the biggest Epiglotis he had ever seen !!!! Sp he decided to go straight to surgey

hahaha I know it wasn't the right time to say it but its better to know beforehand than be faced with it afterwards because my dad had no idea that it could happen and it did so he totally regrets having the surgery.

Hey guys, I had the surgry 8 hours ago but I have been loaded up on painkillers and sleeping all day, I am just starting to come around now. Surgey was good, the Dr even straightened my nose while he was in there. Now I feel like I am trying to swallow a golf ball wrapped in sand paper. The Dr reckons it will get worse when the healing starts in three to five days, so thats something to look forward too. He also said tonight could be bad when the locals all wear off, but its not as bad as I thought it would be so far. Here's hopeing the HGH does its thing
