    costco natty pb

after reading the last thread about costo, I took a ride to one today to pick up a few things, along with the obvious huge amount of chicken, oats, eggs, etc, I also picked up the natty pb...it says it is made with organic palm oil...is this oil a good source of fat like regular natty pb? never had it before.

Before buying Costco Organic PB I did a search on this site. One guy from England said the only natty pb he could get had palm oil in it. Vets and Mods including SwoleCat said it was fine, just as long as it did not have added sugar.

It must only have a trace amount in it because the fat content is the same as other natty pb I have seen.

Organic natty at the same price as conventional natty, yea buddy!!

This one reads exactly like this: Organic Peanuts, Organic Palm Oil, Sea Salt

Sea salt is better than chemically made salt and Organic is more natural and better for the environment.

Well, Organic NPB is usually 3X the price as Conventional and most Supermarkets don’t have it (unless you’re in CA). So I can see why you would stick to yours.

If you did have a Costco membership you would be foolish to not buy the Organic at the same price. IMO

I am just saying if it is the same prices why not get the Organic stuff?

I don’t really care also. Well I care but I don’t care. Or, I care but not so much as to triple my grocery bill.

    Love PB...
Unfortunately peanut butter is a major trigger of acne. I gave it up a few months ago and have very few breakouts now as a result.

I'll tell ya what though...almond butter and cashew machademia butter does a fine job at filling that void!

I wouldnt care if it was organic or made of pure sh*t....I just want to make sure that what I am putting in my body will aid in what I am trying to accomplish. I never heard of palm oil and I care enough to ask about it first before i fill my body with it. So I am assuming you just suck down skippy pb and think its doing u well right?

i suck down all natty PB which contains just peanuts and salt as i already pointed out.. im pretty sure skippy pb has added sugars, not sure though. as for me not giving a **** about "organic" pb i was refering to Chad B who was trying to say "organic" pb is better because its more expensive and helps the environment..

It is a fact that buying Organic produce is less destructive on the environment because there is less chemical wash out going into our streams then into rivers… I also don’t care if you care; I am just stating the fact.

If you had a choice, in one hand you have a product that destroyed the environment, then in the other hand the same product THAT COST THE SAME AMOUNT that had no harmful effect on the environment, what would you choose?

I have some organic peanut butter and it tastes like ass. No sweetener, no salt, but it tastes wierd. I'll have to try the Costco stuff.

Love Costco, do pretty much all my shopping there.
