Strattera

Well i went and visited with an Internist and i told about my mild depression and concentration problems and she prescribed me Strattera. I was wondering if anyone has tried this and the effects they got from it. She said if it does not work after 1-2 weeks call back and well take the next step.

i can tell you that its not a stimulant like adderall so its better in that way....

yeah i know its a non stimulant, i was wondering if anyone has had success for concentration levels

it works although somwhat less than aderall. i would think that with depression and concentration you would be a canidate for wellbutron

Why did she prescribe you strattera for depression? One of the side effects of it can be severe depression if too much is taken....do some research. I was prescribed this stuff my freshman year in college and the first day I got it, I took my first dose that night, then I took my 1 time per day dose for the following day, the next morning. You are supposed to take it at the same time everyday. Due to the fact that I had taken two doses soo close together I had a terrible reaction. I was sitting in my first class of the day and all of a sudden got really upset and sad, I had to walk back to my dorm and skip the rest of the day because I became soo depressed very quickly. I sat in my bed all day and had suicidal thoughts. I called my dad and he called the doc and also did some research and it showed depressuion as a possible side effect. I have never taken it again since that day...scared the shit out of me, I honestly contemplated killing myself, and I NEVER have those thoughts normally.

its prescribed for ADD, but one of the benefits is it can fight depression

I believe strattera works on the norepinephrine transmitter, so its common to see a variety of effects from one individual to another. If the strattera doesn't work, the doc could always prescribe an anti-depressant. Usually, nixing the depression will help you concentrate better.

it does work for concentration but it doesnt feel as strong as dexamphetamine.

i prefer strattera because i dont have insomnia which i get from dexies... also the sexual side effects can work to your advantage ie it takes for ever to come

strattera takes about a month before it starts working properly... then you have to find what dosage works for you. Which takes more time again as the extra increase in dosage takes weeks till it comes into effect

I'm on 80mg's a day atm and it seems to be ok. Considering going to a maximum of 100mg's a day

i hate that shit like no OTHER worst shit EVER..
didnt do a dam thing i was on it for ever w/ all different array of doses. kuz i hate adderall so we tried to find substitute.. no luck w/ that homoeroticgaypill. didnt do dam thing since make me sleep 14+hrs a day for ever w/ flue like symptoms all the time.. I HATE IT if its not clear

I agree with the sleepy part... I take it in the morning and when I get home at the end of the day I need to sleep for an hour before going to the gym
