    I pledged my oath today...

    I went down to meps for my physical, passed, then signed my contract and took my oath for the Marines.

    HELL YEA! im so excited, my ship date is September 10 (im in delayed entry)

    They make you do it all over again when you actually go. The processing that takes place the day of your shipping out is crazy! Nothing could compare to the in-processing of actual bootcamp though. I don't think I slept for almost 2 days straight. It was so nice to finally have my rack assigned to me!

    GL Man! Bootcamp is nothing more than an inconvenience.

    thanks for all the positive comments...about the only good ones im hearing are from my recruiter and other marines...too many damn liberals where i live that love to criticize troops

    After boot and school, things will ease up and you will get to chill and chase tail If you are based on the East Coast (Lejeune), be sure to hit Myrtyle Beach, UNC Chappel Hill, ECU, and many more...nothing but good times! Hope things calm down in Iraq for you though...best of luck dog!

    Congrats and good luck! You have no idea the life experiences you will encounter. I remember when I said my oath, I fvcked it up. Oh well, that didn't stop them from enlisting my ass.

    13 weeks basic i know for sure...but its 3 weeks combat training unless your infantry...and im infantry so idk how long it will be
