    Cardio before lifting???

Hey everybody. This summer my schedule has been terrible and my only time to hit the gym is in the morning before I leave for work. My workout partner is insistent on not being able to wak up any earlier, so this really f's up my chances of doing cardio after we lift. So the question is: Do you think it would be counter productive to do cardio before I lift? I don't want to let cardio slip, especially since I just started a cycle of Test C/EQ. What do you guys think?

I would do cardio afterwards. Save the creatine and glycogen your body saved up over those 24hours for your workout. If you're doing cardio for fat loss then it would be even more to your benefit to do it after since there won't be much left for energy aside from fat after an intense lift.

tell your workout partner to get up or train on hs own. If he negatively affects your workout (like he is now) then drop him.
The point of a partner is to help not hinder. This is why i train on my own.

Doing cardio before you lift is going to affect your workouts, it will drain your energy and you wont be able to produce. If training is important to you then you should get a new partner, wake his ass up or train alone.

Get a NEW partner, you are putting all your energy into cardio then getting a half-ass workout. If you're looking for mass your best bet is to focus on lifting then cardio.

Studies (and no I don't have them...Men's Health) have shown that pre-workout cardio becomes a hinderance to lifting strength and endurance just past the 30-min mark. So technically, as long you do no more than a half hour you'll be fine. I typically do 30 before and 30 after, the former is a good warm-up and latter a good cool down.
