one of the main issues with training a teen is setting goals that are reasonable, and obtainable.. he must state what they are, then write them down so he can see them everyday..
then a routine can be completed for him that will allow him to obtain those goals in a safe manner..
I can train a teen to be strong very quickly, the issue is their ligaments aren't able to support without injury the weight their bodies can build up and the weight they can lift.. thus injury becomes an issue..
and, as always.. nutrition.. congrats on being able to share something like this with your son..
The answer to your every question

A bigot is a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted
to his or her own opinions and prejudices, especially
one exhibiting intolerance, and animosity toward those of differing beliefs.

I would say just make sure you emphasize, higher reps and more endurance building exercises to strengthen the tendons and ligaments. I would also encourage you to be very frank with him because when kids are young they want to get huge over night and some fall into the trap of lifting way too much weight and then hurting themselves. Make it scientific so that he understands that it's not just about going to the gym and moving iron around. Its about discipline, nutrition, and determination.
bodybuilding.com is a good site. But honestly he'll listen to his father the most.
what about vitamins and supps?
some gyms will offer free trainer advice for teens on proper technique related to desired goals,
Kuad just give him a multi-V. Other then that stress a good diet. Everyone else has already gotten the training points down. I would also stress cardio to him. That is a big thing with teens is that they want the big muscles but dont want to do the cardio. He will be better off in the long run if you have him do this a few times a week.
i started at around 14 years old and would have been much better off learning from a person then from trial and error
teach him the basics and let him start to develope a routine he likes and will stick with
any particular multi vitamin for teens you guys recommend?

centrum is a good brand, they got vitamins from a to zinc!
you guys might want to check out crossfit
No juice. Test coarsing through his veins.
i took creatine at that age but thats just me
dont let him lift to hard cause growth stunage could happen
i started lifting when i was like 13 and im 6' 3" it didnt stunt my growth. who knows though
I dunno about you guys but I lifted @ 16 and was taking creatine and protien, and it never stunted my growth, I did it for football. Im only 5'8, but my dads only 5'7 so i actully passed himand my moms real short, so im happy with my height. I dont think lifting hard at that age is going to HURT him, mabye lifting very hard like you or me... like 4 reps or 5 reps - yes, but the avg weight he can lift 10 times shouldnt be to much. Hes young - His body is prime age - he can heal real quickly - he like a muscle bomb waiting to explode
Teach him a nice upper body training - break - lower body training routine, and when he builds a good base you can break his routine into seperate muscle groups.
