each 5mg packet is 50mg but approximately 5mg is supposed to be absorbed so each 5mg packet = 5mg of Test

I had read where only 1-10% of the gel was actually utilized by the body, between 0.5 and 5...not sure. You might want to read the insert with the testim gel and see if it gives any additional info..of course they are biased in their reporting.

i agree the dosage rec'd is an inexact science and that's why i keep using the word approximately but having used and read the inserts of both testim and androgel i believe that the doses are pretty close at least for what i am absorbing
