strength gains off first cycle compared to weight

Hey guys im about 6 weeks into my first cycle of test e 500mg/wk for 10 weeks.
I have noticed a very significant strength gain (40-45 lbs on bench, 75ish on squat depending on the day (back problems)). However, I have only put on 10-13 pounds. I am expecting to lose some when i come off but will i keep the strength gains? How much of the weight?

Also is anyone else experiencing this unproportional strength to weight ratio?

im really looking to get both. the current workout im doing this week is generally a 8 6 6 8 6 6 type thing hitting one-two major excercises a day. ex.
bench - chins, dips, pushups (all weighted)
    power clean - squat
    leg press - squat
and usually a couple miscellaneous excersises (leg curls/extensions, triceps, deltoids) stuff like that throughout.

    What is your diet like?

My understanding is that you usually gain strength without size when you don't eat enough; instead of the muscles getting bigger you improve the way they respond to electric impulses (or something like that).
