    cottage cheese...

    whats all your opinions on this super high protein low carb food? I love it! Is it a goodprotein for gaining muscles???

    yeah, it's good for you, good source of protein.

    i try to eat it a few times a day in a shake. i posted a site with recipes for it in the diet section, nobody cared though.

    I am a cottage cheese junky... I can go through 500 grams in one sitting straight out of the jar.
    looking at the dietary facts right now in my 2% cottage cheese:

    for every 125 grams of cottage cheese you get:

    15 grams of protein
    2.5 grams of fat
    15 mg of cholesterol
    495 mg of sodium
    6 grams of carbs

    out of all this the only thing that I don't like is the high sodium. But I do cardio three days a week so it shouldnt be too bad...sweat out all them salts. I guess the only thing better is meat? but from what I can tell the best bang for your buck is cottage cheese.

    500 grams costs about 3 bucks

    do they make a lower sodium cottage cheese? jesus thats 2gs of sodium in 500gs

    its mostly casein protein so its good to eat before bed..its definitely an acquire taste..i throw a pack of splenda on it to sweeten it up a bit

    I 100% have to try out the make your own C.C. recipe! I wish I had cows too though...haha.
