After recent local elections and the results, and the London mayoral election, who will you be voting for / would you vote for if they held an election now?

I'd like to look into the Lib Dems policies a bit more, and Green party. Labour are a joke and its all thanks to that bungling oaf, Gordon Brown! I swear, everytime someone challenges him on something he's like "Yeah but, no but, yeah but, no but..."

Tony Blair wasn't ALL bad, he introduced Tax credits and brought a relative peace to Northern Ireland. Yes, it's got more expensive to live here though. The thing with Brown, he showed his disloyalty to Blair and craved power. Now he has it, he cant cope. Too indecisive and has zero charisma.

Tax credits i do agree on.. But then more tax on the stupidly wealthy should have happened.
Also Londoners who have a 2nd home outside london should have to pay WAY more tax on it.
Where i live (back to where im from) the population in winter is 2,500.... in summers its 7,000+ due to the fact of so many londers having second homes here.
Then they only stay so many weeks of the year and not contribute to the local economy all year round.
Then when they are here all they do is demand better services and for the town to look good (as obviously they cant brag about having a house here if the town is a dump)
Then obviously to them driving up the prices local young people cant get houses here, and theres no jobs as it relies on summer trade.
If they were taxed more on that 2nd home us locals wouldnt have to foot the bill for them.
Brown is like that desperate guy who always wanted to be promoted and then finally gets the job... then doesnt have a damn clue what to do once there and just looks out of his depth and foolish.

If you actually read about the BNP they are all working / middle class people who work down the road and you will see down the local. THEY ARE NOT SKINHEADS LIKE COMBAT 18!
They have sensible policies and are trying to make the electorate aware of what is taking place in our country right under our noses. They have plenty of questions for the slimy politicians in Westminster that they don't like (the politician doesn't like the questions!!) .... such as the inherent corruption etc. etc.
Their website is, by far, the most visited of any of the policical parties in the UK. I have put a link to it in my earlier post!

I do apologise zane, jokingly made that comment as i thought it was one of the other guys messing around.
Totally understand how the bnp arn't liked to groups like combat 18.
I know so many years ago certain members were a little 2 close to the extreme groups but those ties were cut to make the party more of a viable political choice.
I think that immigration, crime, and local issues are what need to be addressed, and the bnp party are a party that have strong views on all of those (and way b4 the main political parties did)
I think there chances are damaged by old stigma's... but it does seem as the uk gets more frustrated with the things the way they are, the more likely they will vote for a party that has CLEAR views on the issues, and not wishy washy views that are popular at the time.

This is high because the courts are useless, and the fact 2 many people sit around on benefits then top up there income through crime.
All points the main political parties like to talk about as its what voters want sorted.. but they talk about it in a tip-toeing manner
I think cause the bnp have always had strong opinions on these and are not afraid to talk about them (even if the media does call them racists etc) that cause they have stuck to there guns people are now thinking there a party who will act and not just talk.
The conservatives have had more of a voice on those matter recently, but nothing that is a solid pledge. (one reason why i think they did so well in the local elections, as people will go for middle ground but just over to there preferred side)
Labour and lib dems avoid those subjects like the plague.

I only got into reading about the BNP recently when it was reported in the Daily Mail that the BNP website was the most visited of any political website. In fact it gets more hits than all the other parties put together.
When I read about it, the things they were talking about were exactly the same as the things that we were talking about at work!
They have the right attitude and are about to grow into something big!!

I think we are up for 2 terms of tories, then if things are still no where near sorted, parties like bnp will get a lot of seats.
UKIP have similar points... but no real voice.

UKIP were built on media hype and a big financer with no substance except an anti EU agenda. They will melt away.
The BNP are built on a solid foundation with total lack of cooperation from the media and government funded anti BNP agencies against them. The BNP is learning to walk before it can run, and will succeed despite the efforts of the loony left and all their communist friends!!
Their policies are not extreme right wing like the press would have us believe. In fact there are a lot of policies that the old labour voting workers from the 50's would recognise!!

Yeh definately, I mean immigration is definately a problem and needs sorting, but the bnp are not the answer, most of the ones I have experienced are unintelligent and bitter because immigrants are doing better than them. They have been campaigning near me, and some of their attitudes are truly alarming, near nazism. I agreed with many of their policies until I was unlucky enough to see them in action and talk with them.

No idea dude, they are all as bad as each other these days. Politics is just a show, a pantomime, its all about who can make the others look the worst, rather than policies. I think the labour govt has to go, but Cameron is just a poor mans Blair imo, he has all the same "qualities" as Blair, but hes just not as convincing.

Masta ... I have got to totally disagree with you there. I am sorry if that was the impression that you got ... the BNP have seemed to me to be intelligent and articulate and have very good arguements for the British people. They are addressing the problems heaped upon us by Nu Labour and the previous mainstream governments. They are not extremists .... it is just that the common purpose / communist media portray them in that light!

It wasn't and impression, it is a fact, I spoke to some of them for a while and found out the backgrounds, beliefs etc of most of them, I was polite, and they genuinely believed I was interested in joining the party (which I was). The ones I spoke to were mostly unemployed (or "employed by the party") aggressive and clearly not educated. Don't get me wrong, im not some kind of elitist wannabe, I just think people that are going to be running local constituencies (or the country lol) should actually have more qualifications than a big mouth, some tats and controversial views.
In fairness there were one or two that seemed intelligent, but they were older and made it clear they had a problem with anyone that was not 100% english (if there is even any such thing as english these days, german, viking, french invasions etc).

OK Masta .... there probably are some d*ckheads about who support the BNP but if you go down the local Labour Club for a few pints I guarantee you you will meet your fair share of political numbnuts in there!!

Yeh I wasn't trying to suggest that the whole party is neo-nazist, I was probably just unlucky with the ones I met. Its a constituency they clearly had no chance of winning (Tory stronghold) so they probably just got anyone they could to do the campaigning. Either way it left me with a bad taste in my mouth and I wont ever be voting for them. I actually don't see my voting for anyone, anytime soon, to be honest, im just too disillusioned by the whole political environment.

i voted bnp, not that im a full on racist as i have ethnic friends, they're the only party that really wants to do anything about the state of ****ing immigration.
