- 21 - Much better than expected, and Kate Bosworth is great eye candy. Obviously not of interest to everyone, but if you're on the fence see it and you won't be disappointed.
- Baby Mama - Humorous but not very funny.
- Deception - Surprisingly quite good, could have gone a different way with the ending, but unpredictable and extremely well done.
- Forgetting Sarah Marshall - Just as billed it's truly funny throughout...you get what you're expecting.
- Prom Night - A true teen flick, decent though.
- 88 Minutes - Surprisingly this was VERY GOOD, but what would you expect from Pacino? Although it looks like many other count down to death films, it really isn't.
- Harold and Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay - More than a little crass, but also simply hilarious...this will be a comedy classic. As odd a couple as Felix Unger and Oscar Madison, their misadventures continue in even funnier fashion. And if you’re not in a hurry, stick around for the after the credits for the Marvel Comic-like last scene.
- Forbidden Kingdom - As movie it's about a "C", but the kung fu and special effects are top notch.
- Nim's Island - Good film, obviously kid-oriented but nicely adventurous.
- Pathology - Dark and demented but very well done, if you liked the legendary "American Psycho", you'll love this...same basis but from the med student perspective.
Iron Man - Ahhhhh, the piece da resistance...ABSOLUTELY, INEXPLICABLY AND INDESCRIBABLY MARVELOUS (note the word play on Marvel Comics). This was stupendous from start to finish, nothing short of SPECTACULAR!!!
Caveat: Even though 'Iron Man' isn't the typical Marvel Comic movie because of the high acting caliber, one should still be a comics fan or at least an action movie fan. It doesn't have the complete stand-alone ability of 'Spiderman', which enlisted the aid of very relatable teenage trials, family values, and a genuine love story...consequently 'Iron Man' is not for every one, but it is visual joy!
