HIV can be detected in the blood stream up to 10 days after exposure.

Actually the HIV show times depend on the test, the test an average Jo takes in a hospital or college clinic or any clinic is called an Elyssa test which is very accurate if you take the test more than a month after exposure, thats why they recommend 3 months after because that way even if your body is slow then by 3 months you would have built up enough HIV antibodies to test accuratly 99.9999% with the Elyssa, this is basically the cheap test, eventhough they might charge you up to 100 bucks or your insurance or whatever, the actual filter paper and doing the test cost the clinic like 10 bucks! Its cheap thats why this one is used.

PORN STARS are required to do a DDR, and i dont mean the japanese popular dance video game! The DDR is a DNA based test which can detect the HIV virus replication within 3-7 days!! which is pretty damn accurate timing wise! Ofcourse it is much more expensive it used to run about $600 bucks back a few years ago but now i am sure if you are a porn star and part of a package you can get i done for about $250 maybe.

Why dont normal clinics use DDR with regular people? Because there is no cure for HIV so they dont see why you in a hurry to find out! So they would rather you wait 3 months and they save hundreds of dollars using the cheap test.

It depends on the company you work with how strict they test but all are required to have some standard by law so there arent companies that dont test.

I think there are some STD's like herpes and warts where its an industry standard in porn where they all have it or dont test for it but a dermatologist just checks you dont have a breakout before you go on set! I know this is true because Belladonna said in an interview once that its not required by law to test for everything, so its really up to the porn actors to watch out for themselves in some things.
